One-legged hip lift

In this version of one-legged hip lift you’ll explore strength in the posterior part of your hip and leg in a large range of motion. Set up with a rack/bar/Smith-machine and a bench. Make sure that the bar can’t slide off when you lean back. Place your heel on the bench (level in relevant position for your body) and the upper back against the bar.

Variation? Create different leaver in the airborne leg. In the video I demonstrate with knee flexion as I lift and lower, but if you like to increase the intensity you can begin to lower down with knee extension. Or keep the knee extended in both directions!
