Kneeling to squat

In this sequence you will explore different aspect of transitions from kneeling to squat. In the video I demonstrate five variations. I hope they will be helpful for your practice!

  1. Kneeling to squat with hand support

  2. Kneeling to squat with knee tap with hand support

  3. Kneeling to squat with “walking with hand support”

  4. Kneeling to squat “walking” with floating hands

  5. Kneeling to squat with floating hands

Ps A fig tree is optional.

Pull with your hands on the way forward and extend the spine. Push with hands and flex the spine as you return. Legs are travelling on the outside of your arms.

Lead with one leg and tap the knee on the ground. Resist the movement from the other leg. Continue to add a “walking rhythm” and change leading leg.

No hands! Let the arms and upper body help you to counter-balance the lower body.

Floating from kneeling to squat with no hands. Move slow.

Let me know if you have any questions!
